My Week On a Fitness Retreat
I have heard a lot about fitness retreats in the past but up until just last week, I had never been on a fitness retreat.
Fast forward to now, after returning home from the paradise that is Noosa, on the Sunshine Coast in Australia, I can honestly say it was an amazing experience which I would recommend to anyone. I went up there with Active Escapes- the World’s Number 1 fitness retreat company that runs these amazing weeks all over the world, from Bali to Dubai, Phuket to Barbados, the Maldives to Australia and it was definitely more than expected.
Everything for the guest was included and once you got there, you didn’t have to think or worry about ANYTHING, it was planned down to a T with perfect professionalism and organization.
There were 2 training sessions a day taken by a fellow qualified PT, a sunset yoga session, surf lessons, wakeboarding, a day at the water park, a sunset boat cruise with food included and of course a nutritionist and chef making our every meal. Transportation to and from the airport was included as was to training sessions where we were picked up from our serviced apartments just a 5-minute walk from Noosa main beach.
The training sessions were awesome and would kick off at 630am on the beach- the group of 20 and all varying fitness levels would all workout together with a great team spirit, something I really enjoyed!
I went up there as a prospective trainer for future retreats with Active escapes and was told to simply enjoy myself as any other guest would. I came home so impressed with how well set up it was and all the work that goes into making it an unforgettable week that I have heaped praise on Active Escapes to anyone who would listen. If you are after a holiday where you meet awesome like-minded people, have fun, go on new adventures and workout- then you need to get yourself on with Active Escapes.
NEWS ALERT!
I have just been put on as a trainer with Active escapes for the upcoming MALDIVES RETREAT in July 2018. This will be something else! Spending 7 nights on a 125ft superyacht, training on different islands every day and practicing my (horrible) surfing on some of the clearest water on earth. I can’t wait to take a group of awesome people through a week of training in a location such as the Maldives.
